I have reverted your changes at Hitradio Ö3. You cited no sources for any of this information, and the information is entirely too detailed for an encyclopedia article. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 14:14, 23 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Dear User:WikiDan61, please have look at the german article about the Hitradio Ö3. (https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ö3) This article is also partly written by me and I'am working as a trainee at the Hitradio Ö3 so I thought i could make an english article about the Hitradio Ö3. Please don't revert my changes! It was loads of work! Best wishes Wr24AT (talk) 14:23, 23 April 2020 (UTC) PS: Pls excuse my bad english. I'm an Austrian[reply]

I would argue that the German page is also overly detailed, but I don't edit at de.wiki, so that is someone else's concern. The changes you've made here, I argue, are overly detailed. We don't need a complete list of every program the radio station currently or previously broadcast, or an exhaustive list of their current and former presenters and weather and traffic editors. Hitradio Ö3 has its own website for a reason: to give listeners all those fascinating details. It is not Wikipedia's intent to substitute for the station's own website. Specific notable details can be added (for example: the fact that Ö3 broadcasts Ö3 Austria Top 40, which is apparently Austria's official Top 40 chart -- but only if properly cited to [[WP:RS|reliable sources; or the names of notable presenters), but much less than you have previously added. I recognize that your additions represent a lot of work, and that work still exists in the page history so you can retrieve the useful bits based on the advice I've given you here. Finally, since you are working at Ö3, I would caution you to read Wikipedia's conflict of interest guideline, and to specifically declare your association with the organization.
PS: Your English is excellent. No worries!

Dear User:WikiDan61, the website of the Hitradio Ö3 is only to inform about current news and shows but not to give an overview about the special facts. My boss also said, that Wikipedia is to deepen in some topics so I should make this page as detailed as posible. E.g. the list about the moderators and their shows isn't very specific because no one want's to spend time on that. (Except me ;) Maybe we could make another page about the Hitradio Ö3 with the subtitle "detailed version" ;)
All in all I think that it is very cool that you are spending your time in Wikipedia to fight vandalism and to clean up here. ;)

If "the website of the Hitradio Ö3 is only to inform about current news and shows but not to give an overview about the special facts," then you are using your website incorrectly. While your website may well contain much content that is "news", it should also be used as your primary vehicle for informing the public about yourself. What your boss says is highly relevant to you, but not so much to Wikipedia. Companies don't get to dictate what their Wikipedia articles say; that is for independent authors and editors to determine. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 10:32, 24 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Hey there, I've just posted this conversation on the talk site of the German Hitradio Ö3 article. Three people said we should edit this article here after Corona together, but not that detailed.
Best wishes --Wr24AT (talk) 12:49, 24 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
