Welcome!

Hello, Ycdkwm, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I see you recently translated Henriette-Anne of France, for which thanks (it was on my "to do" list). I recently created or expanded Marie Adélaïde of France, Princess Victoire of France and Sophie-Philippine of France, but some of the other sisters are in a bad way - Princess Louise-Élisabeth of France is poor, and Princess Louise-Marie of France (the nun, not Louise-Marie of France, Queen of the Belgians) has no article. -- ALoan (Talk) 11:56, 6 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Just noticed your interests in French translation, and wondered if you'd like to join this project. It has a lot of carryover from the French, and I don't know of any French translators within the project as of yet. It's fairly new, so there is plenty to do. Wrad 20:00, 15 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the offer. Like my userbox says, I only have an intermediate level of French (which drops dramatically when I don't have unlimited amounts of time and help from online dictionaries!), but I would definitely be interested in doing a bit of work, translation or otherwise, for this project. I can't guarantee that I would be a reliable contributor at the moment, as I have a lot of stuff to do offline, so I think I'll contribute informally for now. Ycdkwm 20:08, 15 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sounds good. Thanks for your contributions to Shakespeare's sonnets BTW. Wrad 20:10, 15 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sonnets...[edit]

Thanks. Good work on the sonnets. --Xover (talk) 10:55, 24 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Pringle[edit]

How come you've never heard of H.J. Pringle? 86.14.47.39 (talk) 16:00, 30 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Whether I've heard of him or not is irrelevant. Contributions must be verifiable: the guidelines quite clearly say that 'The threshold for inclusion in Wikipedia is verifiability, not truth.' Edits which attempt to associate various notable people with H.J. Pringle should include citations proving the association. That's why I marked your edits with 'Citation Needed'. Here are the relevant guidelines:

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
