January 2010[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but when you add content (particularly if you change facts and figures), as you have to the article TNA Impact!, please cite a reliable source for the content you're adding or changing. This helps maintain our policy of verifiability. Take a look at Wikipedia:Citing sources for information about how to cite sources and the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. If you want to add content to an article but your edits keep getting reverted, then this is because you are breaking some basic Wikipedia ground rules. The history tab on the article allows you to see who is reverting your edits. Either use the CS discussion tab to ask why, or go to the user's talk page and post a polite message saying that you are new to Wikipedia and asking him or her to explain why your changes are being reverted. So for example you made these edits [1] which where reverted by another editor, Fat&Happy, who explained why on the talk page.
One of the main constraints about Wikipedia is that its not about "truth" because one man's truth is another's heresy. It's mainly about using content from reputable sources, so if you want to discuss the amphitheatre for example, then you need to reference a reputable document which describes this. This might be a newspaper review or even a brochure produced by CS Land -- as long as it describes some verifiable reality and not some vague future intent (unless of course you caveat your content by soch wording as "future proposed developments include ..."
If you want to try creating some new material use a sandbox under your user account e.g. User:Youtube/sandbox and ask some of the editors on the page to give you advice and feedback. Then when you do paste the content into the main articles, you will have already crossed most of the hurdles. -- TerryE (talk) 17:24, 28 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

January 2010[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Harvey Whittemore. When removing text, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the text has been restored, as you can see from the page history. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Woogee (talk) 03:21, 28 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi and welcome to Wikipedia also especially as from your postings you do seem to have an interest in Coyote Springs and some other regional developments. If you look at Woogee's contribution history [2] then you will see that he is an experienced editor and his advice is sound. This article is under dispute, so if you follow the warning links at the top of the article and talk pages, you will see advice on how to proceed. But my general advice is in general to discuss what you are about to do on the talk page. Also don't be afraid to speak your mind about the content, but try to stay constructive.
There are reasons why you can just change the article, but even so it would greatly help the other editors and reduce the chances of your changes being summarily reverted if you also explain the reason why you are making the change. Since you are new to Wikipedia and finding your feet, then most editors will be willing to council / help you on issues and point you to guidelines that you need to read. What I can't promise -- especially on an article under dispute -- is that all the editors give the same advice or opinion.
Anyway, glad to see you on board. -- TerryE (talk) 17:04, 28 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
TerryE thank you for advice and understand thanks for explain that to me do u mind helping me?

The convention is to indent each new post so that in this case if you look at this post, then it has ":::" prefixing each para. So if I were you my next steps would be:
  • Review the links that Supertouch put at the top of your page. Someone put a lot effort into writing these articles to help new editors like yourself.
  • Decide a set of pages which interest you and start tracking them -- the histories, the diff changes, the talk pages to get an idea of how it all works and who the leading editors are at each page. Getting their support / tolerance is important when you do start to edit.
  • When you do start making changes make small ones at first: correct typos, etc. and make sure that anything you do add is from a WP:RS.
  • If you do want to make a substantive change then try it out first in a sandbox as I previously suggested.
  • The helpme tag is just that: {{helpme}}.
Also stick to grammatically correct English. Twitter-speak might just about be tolerated on the talk pages, but when it comes to article content, it's worse than being in English class at school. -- TerryE (talk) 14:11, 29 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

How is any of this actually relevant to an encyclopedia article? Wikipedia is not a directory of services, so I do not see how this addition would help any article. (talk→ BWilkins ←track) 18:03, 1 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I concur. Youtubek. An English encyclopedia is written in English and its content is relevant to the article and well researched. This is an incoherent list. -- TerryE (talk) 18:44, 5 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Your use of multiple Wikipedia accounts[edit]

Hi. An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account, which contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Youtubek, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and admit to it now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.
