Real Life Super Heroes[edit]

Disagree. The actual related content is minimal.

The main menu (about us, faq, how to be a hero) is low content at best.

The top menu includes Heroes (just a social networking directory), Links (web directory), Tools (News Aggregator), Videos (You Tube Links)

The last section is Forum, Blog, Picture Gallery.

Essentially, the site violates WP:EL on several levels: blogs, social networking, forums, you tube, web directory. To its credit, its light on ads but its also light on content.

Thank you for the information[edit]

I will work harder to include more relevent information to represent. To my credit, I would like to say that the blog roll does have links and copies of various of articles found online. And as for the social networking directory, I've been personally interviewing various of individuals to get up to date information about them. But either way, I will follow Wikipedia's rules and will do my best to make legitimate edits. -Zetaman

In my opinion[edit]

It still fails for the same reasons I noted above. TastyPoutine talk (if you dare) 23:20, 23 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Let me add that this isn't a criticism of the site. Its actually well built and looks really good. Here's part of the problem. If there is one social networking type link on the subject, then others follow. You could argue that yours is the best, and it could be, but we do have to have pretty tough guidelines on this thing. Because then, every dimwit will add his own RLSH site here and the section becomes a link farm, again.
I don't want to keep bombarding you with problems with the site, but there are a couple of other issues. The site prints copyrighted material, specifically the new articles. Links to those articles can appear, but printing the whole article goes beyond fair use. I actually shouldn't beat you up on the You Tube links itself. For the most part, they are reliable news bureaus. Although you have copyright issues there as well. Finally, you have a conflict of interest here. You made the site, feature on the site and have an interest in promoting it.
Ultimately, we prefer if you are adding content to the article, which you have. I encourage you to keep doing that. We prefer links to be something that would expand on the topic or act as sources in the article. Clearly news links would fill some of the void there and do now in the article. If, for instance, the US Government had a Superhero registration database, that would be appropriate for the article since its silly to assume you could add the names of all officially registered superheroes. This is obviously a tough article to handle since the topic is, shall we say, not standard fare in an encyclopedia. TastyPoutine talk (if you dare) 00:00, 24 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Still does not appear to be anything other than a self published "fansite". If you can show that the publisher of the site is a recognized authority in field, (previously published in the field, widely quoted in Reliable Sources as an "expert" on the topic etc.) you may have a better argument that it meets WP:EL. I would suggest that you place your request for inclusion there, noting any conflicts of interest that you may have. -- The Red Pen of Doom 15:32, 2 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
