Darts tournament brackets[edit]

macrons in sumo et al[edit]

Hey Zeyes. We were aware that most sumo wrestlers did not have macrons for the long vowels in their names. One reason for this was that it followed the conventions used on the official English Sumo Kyoukai site. Another is because some of the major contributors live outside Japan and have not studied Japanese, and therefore cannot make a call on macrons or no macrons. Having said that, I think it give the articles more accuracy and style to have the correct macrons. Yanagawa[edit]

That's interesting - I had no idea he was a cult figure among sumo fans:) Sometimes articles do seem to appear just because of the idiosyncrasies of a particular editor, not because they are really notable - for some reason we have one on the stunningly mediocre Hananosato whose biggest claim to fame seems to be that he's one of Asashoryu's tsukebito, and who doesn't even have an article on the Japanese wikipedia as far as I'm aware.

Nishonoseki stable[edit]

There is currently a discussion on the talk page of this article over whether it or the "new" Nishonoseki stable (formerly Matsugane stable) should be regarded as the primary topic, or whether there should be a disambiguation page. I'm not going to start the discussion that it is actually wrong in the first place to write those prepostions in capitalised letters, don't know why the Flemish are insisting on that. Wikipedia doesn't exist to reflect how you want things to be. The Flemish are spelling it that way, that's all that matters - especially as we're dealing with names here, a rather personal matter.
