Help request[edit]

Hello,

I have endeavored to make the changes you requested but I keep getting the rejected box, and I do not know how to fix that. Can you help me? I put in the lead sentence, that was missing from my draft (thank you) and will work to make other changes as they come up. Please advise me as to the next step.

ZintkalaNuni

Hello. I don't know why you wrote email to me. I have not heard of your draft article until now, and I have not been involved. Also, I prefer to keep Wikipedia business on Wikipedia, and not in email. That is why I am responding here on your talk page.
There should be no expectation that writing and publishing an article on Wikipedia is an easy thing. I can see you put a good amount of work into it, but now you need to become familiar with the editorial policies and guidelines. The primary ones that the article doesn't comply with are Wikipedia:Neutral point of view and Wikipedia:No original research. An encyclopedia article should never express opinions, and also cannot express original thought. Every statement must be neutral, factual, and backed up by reliable sources.
Looking at your draft, I see some things wrong:
  • The lead section doesn't provide an overview of the article. It should summarize the main points described in the body of the article. I should be able to know exactly what the article is about by reading the lead sentence, but that is difficult to do.
  • In particular, the lead section should explain the significance of this topic. Why does it merit an article in an encyclopedia? What is the historical significance? How is the subject recognized by independent reliable sources?
  • The article makes some decidedly non-neutral statements, such as "far away from the home she never knew, but always searched for". Wikipedia shouldn't make unsubstantiated statements telling readers what to think.
The article needs work. There are a few other editors who have made small improvements. It looks to me like it needs some improvement in organization and tone. ~Amatulić (talk) 21:06, 13 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I so appreciate your input. I am working as hard as I can to understand the format to/for Wikipedia. I have made changes to the article. The reason I contacted you is because I found some editing and your name was associated with it, so clicked on it. I understand now what I had done wrong, and also how to change the tone of the article. I hope the changes are correct and neutral in tone. Thank you for your input again. Much appreciated.
