Thanks for uploading Image:AnEveningwDCX.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Watershed Protection Revision

Hello Zuejay! I was hoping that I could kindly ask you to look through the updates that I made to the Watershed Protection page. It was rather short initially and lacked a fair amount of information. Thus, I added some general information and didn't go into a great deal of depth due to time constraints. I am trying to improve myself as a communicator and feel that feedback from well established Wiki users would be quite valuable!

Thanks, Prevero —Preceding unsigned comment added by Prevero (talkcontribs) 16:49, 17 October 2007 (UTC)

Watershed Management

Your comment was very helpful! After thinking about the points that you had made, I decided that they were valid and the article did indeed read more like a Watershed Management article then it did a Watershed Protection article. Thus, I changed the title of the page to Watershed Management. I used the "move" feature to accomplish this task. I am a new user and am not entirely sure that this was the Wiki approved way of going about this. If it isn't, please let me know so it doesn't get deleted. Thanks again for your assistance!

Thanks Again! -Prevero —Preceding unsigned comment added by Prevero (talkcontribs) 20:39, 22 October 2007 (UTC)

Glad you considered my thoughts! The "Move" tab is the correct way to carry out such an action (if there are many editors involved, it is a good idea to post a note for a couple days on the article talkpage; if it's a potentially contentious move, concensus should be established first) - just remember, unless it is a proper name, only the first letter of the first word is capitalized. Dumbledore vote

Hi. All the arguing over where we should discuss Dumbledore's sexual orientation is proving useless. We need to work out just who is in favour of what and a vote seems the only way to go about it. I'm asking for your opinion since you had a say in the general argument. Thank you. asyndeton 10:51, 24 October 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for the welcome and for agreeing to check and classify my articles. If I can find enough information I am hoping to eventually cover all (or almost all) of the past presidents so that more notable civil engineers can be included in this encyclopedia and (in the reasonably distant future) List of Presidents of the Institution of Civil Engineers can be put up at featured list candidates. Cheers, Dumelow 10:25, 27 October 2007 (UTC)

DYK October 29

Updated DYK query On 29 October, 2007, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Ann Northrop, which you created or substantially expanded. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page.

CU in NH

Just wondering... The "See Also" section of Civil unions in New Hampshire has a bunch of links that are duplicates of the ones in the right-hand infobox and/or the bottom infobox. Should those be deleted? -- SatyrTN (talk | contribs) 22:38, 25 November 2007 (UTC)

Duplicates? Sure, that was more a holding pattern until I could integrate the info. ZueJay (talk) 14:45, 1 December 2007 (UTC)

Dixie Chick album count: 4 or 7 ?

Please review the article Dixie Chicks. Taking the Long Way is the band's seventh studio album, but their fourth with Natalie Maines acting as lead singer. ZueJay (talk) 03:44, 1 July 2007 (UTC)

Werent the 1st 3 independant albums? So how do they count? 70.108.122.10 (talk) 03:01, 30 January 2008 (UTC)

Hmm... So when I said "studio album" I was thinking non-live (i.e. not concert). I'm not sure what the best way to "count" it, or phrase it, would be, but I think it's important to communicate that this band, under this name, has released 7 albums - not just the four w/Maines. BTW, I know I said that, but I can't seem to remember where? ZueJay (talk) 03:06, 3 February 2008 (UTC)

Danica

Hi. Not quite sure what the NPOV box on the controversy section is for. Could you leave a comment on the talk page to get the conversation rolling? Ta. 4u1e (talk) 12:29, 25 April 2008 (UTC)

Oops - my mistake. I'll try RossF18. I guess you're right about the reasoning, although unfortunately many of the comments are (for once) actually attributed and ref'd. 4u1e (talk) 13:33, 26 April 2008 (UTC)
(P.S. Does that mean pretty boys can't race either? ;-)) 4u1e (talk) 13:33, 26 April 2008 (UTC)

How?

When you sign your prsts with four tidles how do you get your name colorful like that?--RayquazaDialgaWeird2210 (talk) 14:57, 17 May 2008 (UTC) , whose username is not colorful.

Please read WP:EDITWAR to ensure that we don't end up edit warring over the placement of an accent. There is no way that Renee is correctly spelled with an accent over the last 'e' since it is a French name, but I am willing to believe she may write her name that way. Neither the autographs (people sometimes misplace punctuation and other marks to flourish their signatures) or the website meet the burden of proof for reliable sources. Common sense indicates that it would be spelled the normal way, so unless you can furnish reliable sources indicating that she does use an accent over the last 'e' (and I'm not saying these sources don't exist, by the way), her name should remain spelled with the accent over the second e or none at all. ~Eliz81(C) 23:09, 20 June 2008 (UTC)

For the record, I also believe it's e. e. cummings; sometimes people choose to have their name violate normal language rules. When I googled Renee on the web and in news articles, most of the citations (including her official website) had no accent in her name. That may be English laziness in including accents, or it may be how she usually spells her name. I'm happy to resolve it through whatever channels, so long as it gets consensus. But I'd definitely support no accent for the time being, as at least in English it appears to constitute the majority of references to her. ~Eliz81(C) 04:34, 21 June 2008 (UTC)

Brandon Teena article pronouns

My opinion of the accuracy of the article and the problem with certain contribution styles does not have any direct connection to your response of my original statement. I apologize if you perceived it as such. Hurricane Floyd (talk) 03:54, 6 July 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for your input!

I saw your comment about the Dixie Chicks genre, and it is an ever evolving issue, you are right. I'm trying to make some changes and sure could use your help on the band page(s) and individuals' pages, so please, drop down and feel free! Glad to see another person in the GLBT workgroup interested in them! Please, come, I may have snapped at User: Wasted Time R, but I was so worried about plagiarism, with no response after posting about it in February till now, after I wrote to his talk page. I don't bite, really! Let's get to know each other and fix these pages! Sincerely! --leahtwosaints (talk) 12:01, 10 July 2008 (UTC)

(Laughing at myself, here..) I meant the LGBT workgroup... it is called GLBT at the University as a major where I attended school. I was in a rush and made a few mistakes writing to you-- Good Gawd! For the most part, I'm not quite as illiterate and obstinate as I may have indicated. I WILL say, yeah, I work a lot on the wikipedia, but have no real wiki experience other than contributing to pages begun by others for the most part, and need help with some direction... how to go about things, I suppose. I'm kinda winging it at the time. --leahtwosaints (talk) 17:07, 10 July 2008 (UTC)

= Category on NAMBLA

Just wanted to let you know I just undid the LGBT category on NAMBLA. Yes, I read the categories talk page as you directed me to do, I see a vote for including Nambla with the category of LGBT. However, WP:BLP supercedes consensus in this case. First, Nambla is a pedo group, not a gay, les, bi or tranny group. Second, it's pretty well known that Nambla is not affiliated to LGBT IRL by membership, association, etc... Also, pedo does not equal gay, les, bi or tranny, as most pedo's are straight. LGBT is for groups like Act UP!, Radical Faries (yes, that's a real group), known artists, like Yves St. Laurent, Freddy Mercury, Seigfried and Roy (yea, I know they won't admitt it, but it's pretty **** obvious)..etc...

It's not for Nambla, Renee Guyuon society (sp?) ..etc..

Placing LGBT category on Nambla is an untrue statemnent, not referenced by anything, therefore it violates WP:V, as LGBT community as a whole denies any involvement, nor has as a member any such groups as NAMBLA, therefore placing NAMBLA in the same catageory with LGBT could be construed as a violation of WP:BLP (since we're talking about living people most of the time). Policy trumps consesus here. Please don't place that up again. Thanks (BTW: I'm not really as much of a male member as I might sound here! ) —Preceding unsigned comment added by KoshVorlon (talk) 07:57, 24 July 2008 (UTC)
