Overview[edit]

Vijaybhoomi University is India's first liberal professional university,[1] which aspires to offer relevant and quality education and engage in high-quality research in engineering, business, law, science, and liberal arts. Vijaybhoomi university, based in Karjat, 60km away from Mumbai is devoted to nurturing holistic, socially responsible, and continuously employable professionals who make a positive difference in the world..[2] It offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs in the fields of Business Administration,[3][4] Commerce,[5] Engineering,[6] Law[7] Design and Music.[8] It houses state-of-the-art infrastructure, new age classrooms, a library, equipped laboratories, a Sodexo managed cafeteria, horse riding and sports facilities.

The university has six schools, The Jagdish Sheth School of Management formerly IFIM Business School is an AACSB accredited & Globally Ranked institution. The True School of Music, The School of law, The School of Science and Technology, The School of Design and Vijaybhoomi Junior College, affiliated to Cambridge board.

The first two years at Vijaybhoomi are the ‘Discovery Years'. Students create their own learning journey as they explore various fields in different schools at VU. This liberal journey directs students to the discovery of their personal fire - their own ignited passions and excel in their respective field of choice.

Legacy[edit]

Vijaybhoomi university has 25 years of experience in building educational institutions in India. Established in 1995, IFIM Business School (now Jagdish Sheth School Of Management), Bangalore is the sixth business school in India to have been awarded the AACSB accreditation. The success of building a business school, which is rated amongst the top 5% of the global business schools, encouraged the founders to develop and build the Vijaybhoomi University for propagating the "Spirit of Vijay" and its mission.

It comprises five schools, JAGSOM,[9] Vijaybhoomi Law School,[10] Vijaybhoomi School of Science & Technology, Vijaybhoomi School of Design and the True School of Music. Vijaybhoomi University offers B.Mus, B.Tech, B.Des, BBA, BBA-LLB courses at the UG level. At the PG level, it offers MBA programmes with a duration of two years.
