San Jose, California[edit]

No longer well-written. To keep its featured status, this article needs a thorough copy edit and cleanup. It has become a patchwork of me-too edits. Graphic elements are a hodgepodge that are falling over each other in some areas. Not a 100 percent lost cause, but still worse than some of the featured candidates that get rejected these days. • leave some time for them to be addressed. Perhaps this nomination should be removed, and then re-nominated after some more time is allowed to address the issues that were brought up only 5 minutes ago. (However, I do agree that the article has a horridly long ToC which definitely can be simplified). Thanks, AndyZ t 00:15, 17 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with AndyZ. Year-old requests hardly satisfy the spirit of the requirement: "Before listing here, leave comments detailing the article's deficiencies on its talk page, and leave some time for them to be addressed", which is clearly aimed at giving the contributors the time and motivation to improve the article.
