Cad, bounder, rotter and an absolute shower! Terry-Thomas was one of the most popular and best-known comedians in post-war Britain. A broad and rich career on stage, television and radio, he exported his portrayal of the silly-ass Englishman from British films such as Private's Progress, Carlton-Browne of the F.O. and I'm All Right Jack to Hollywood, where he depicted an upper-class English twit in a number of films, including It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World and How to Murder Your Wife. This record of his professional work has recently been split away from the main T-T page as it was out of place there and not a full reflection of his work. Aside from that, we are now nominating this for featured list status because we believe that it now satisfies the criteria.   • Expand ENSA, it's far from a commonplace abbreviation.
  • Expanded and both full name and acronym left. This is an odd (ish) one. Although there is a full name, most people in the UK will know the organisation by the acronym, rather than the full name, so I think both should be in there. - SchroCat (talk) 20:40, 3 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • "was a hit" borderline non-encyclopedic, maybe "was (very/highly) successful"?
  • "that " As an " again, remove the space, and probably make the As into an as.
  • 'Production finished in 1938, film released in 1939;[20] Uncredited[21]" -> don't have a line break there, and don't capitalise Uncredited.
  • Link "short" appropriately.
  • "24 Episodes" no need for the capital E.
  • "Series one[44]" no need for the capital S (ditto for Series two).
  • [47][41] can you put these in order?
  • "109 Performances" no need for the capital P.
  • "- Terry-Thomas on his unique" should be an en-dash, and who said it's "unique"?

Comments Looks good to me. I have made some edits here; please revert if you don't like the changes.
  • One thing I'm a bit confused about is why certain programmes (e.g. Strictly T-T and My Wildest Dreams) have all their episodes grouped together in a single row, whereas for others (e.g. What's My Line? and The Red Skelton Hour) each episode that featured Terry-Thomas gets its own row.
  • Those grouped together are for an entire series, where T-T appeared in each episode. Those individual ones are one-off appearances in a series. - SchroCat (talk) 18:09, 9 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • The Red Skelton Show image is the only one where the caption is centre-aligned – any particular reason for this?

  • The sorting methods in this article seem really complicated – as long as they work, there's no issue, but some of the 1968/69 dates in the Television table jump all over the place when they're sorted. Using Template:Dts instead might fix that.
  • I'll look into the sorting. The problem with Template:Dts is that is doesn't work with the formatting of dates. It's fine on a straightforward "1 January 2000", but as soon as you try and put in a range such as "19 September – 28 November 1951", then it goes completely to pot, especially when sorting. There is something wrong with the years 68/9, but I'll work on the current template and get that to work properly. cheers - SchroCat (talk) 09:01, 10 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I realize I happen to use American English myself, but even in British English, isn't the phrase "had got" something to avoid? I think this should be reworded, otherwise this list has my support.
