Summary of the last meetup[edit]

Attendees of meetup 2. Clockwise from top left: Emw2012, Jehochman, Dwaipayan, Jake Wartenberg, Shappy, Polaron and Ragesoss. Not pictured was Mitchazenia, who left before we took the picture.

The meetup began with some of the "veteran" meetup attendees noticed the large growth in people who attended (8). We discussed the possibility of workshops and events in the greater Hartford area, such as a workshop and astronomy activity at the local science center. There was a discussion on photo restoration with GIMP. Mitchazenia provided a talk on needed photos in Connecticut, and the National Register of Historic Places. Afterwards, we took a nice walk to a plaza outside Barnes and Noble, where we switched to forum-style discussion. Topics included WP:POINT and articles on fringe theories. At the end, Mitchazenia's talk provoked some initial planning for a possible Wikipedia Takes Greater Hartford, a photo scavenger hunt similar to Wikis Take Manhattan.
