Avengers: Endgame[edit]

I've listed this article for peer review because I'm looking for some suggestions on what should be done to prepare it for an FAC. I plan to get it to FA and then nominate it to be Today's Featured Article next April for the film's 5th anniversary. I haven't worked on an FAC yet, so any suggestions are appreciated. -- ZooBlazertalk 00:34, 16 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Comments by Chompy Ace[edit]

  • Since the film has 556 reviews at Rotten Tomatoes, WP:RECEPTION recommends to transform this film's #Critical_response layout into such formats like John Wick (film)#Critical response and Terminator 2: Judgment Day#Critical response.
  • "That same month, Kevin Feige said the films were titled as two parts of a single film because of the shared elements between the films, but he felt they would be "two distinct" films, not one story split across two films. [...] In May 2016, the Russos revealed that they would be retitling the two films, to further remove this misconception." These two setences can be merged and concise. The first sentence has five instances of "films" can be removed or reduced.
  • In #Marketing, The first paragraph is short so merge it with a second one, or expand it. The (then-)second paragraph has a lot of quotes and WP:WOULDCHUCKing can be shortened and rewritten. The third paragraph's second, third, and fourth sentences should be rewritten and remove excessive quotes.
  • "McFeely said that Rogers "postponed a life" to "fulfill his duty", and McFeely "didn't think we were ever going to kill him", which is "not the [Rogers story] arc". Instead, Rogers's arc was to "finally get to put [his] shield down"." -> "McFeely initially planned to complete Rogers' story arc by killing off him, given the character's elongated life for his occupation, before deciding it to have Rogers abandoned his shield."
  • Add #Themes_and_analysis with Google Scholar at Talk:Avengers: Endgame.
  • In #Pre-sale_records, the first section can be expanded or merged with the second one.
  • In #Other_territories, Merge second and third paragraphs.
  • In #Future, the first paragraph's quotes can be reduced to original, condensed text.
  • "Avengers: Endgame was released in the US on digital download by Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment on July 30, and on Ultra HD Blu-ray, Blu-ray, and DVD on August 13." -> "Avengers: Endgame was released as a digital download on July 30. This was followed by a Ultra HD Blu-ray, Blu-ray, and DVD release on August 13." Remove "The film was released on both Digital HD and Blu-ray on September 2 in the UK." along with its reference per this film originated from the US and styling of Frozen II (a featured article).
  • Italicize media titles within every reference per MOS:CONFORMTITLE.

@Chompy Ace Thank you for the helpful feedback! I'll definitely work on incorporating these changes. -- ZooBlazertalk 16:08, 25 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks! What about another comment: "In March 2020, Endgame was ranked 41st in an Empire magazine poll for the 100 greatest films of the 21st century.[208] In February 2022, the Avengers assembling moment was named one of the five finalists for Oscars Cheer Moment as part of the "Oscars Fan Favorite" contest for the 94th Academy Awards, despite the film not being eligible for other Academy Awards that year.[209]" Two sentences begin with "In" are monotonous, so reword each sentence.
