Halloween II (film)[edit]

I rewrote almost all of this article from scratch; it is similar to the Halloween (film) article that I wrote. Please tell me what needs to be improved to help this article possibly reach featured status. Thanks. Dmoon1 00:42, 29 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'll be brave and be the first person to comment. It's a brilliant article, like the first. My questions are, why was it banned in West Germany and Iceland? I take it it was because of the violence, but it would be nice if the article made that more explicit. It could also be because of the nudity, which the article only briefly mentions. This one's just a minor point: Not having seen any Halloween films, should that be Myers wrote the word on the blackboard, or a blackboard, the latter being more appropriate if it was a larger school with more than one classroom? Maybe a short definition of the word would be appropriate, though I could hit the link. Does anyone know why he chose that word? (The article says it means November, but Halloween is in October.) Thank you for your comments and edits. I clarified the point about the blackboard and explained (I think) the Samhain reference (although I think I've read in other places that Loomis's definition is either incorrect or not quite accurate). I'll see if I can find a reference as to why the film was banned in West Germany and Iceland (I think it was because of a scene involving an eyeball being pierced by a hypodermic needle). According to this website (http://www.melonfarmers.co.uk/arwcgerm.htm), the film was banned because of violence and nudity, but I'm not sure if this is a reliable source. Dmoon1 07:04, 1 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
