I'd suggest using something like "Clothing/Fashion (whatever) in the Ancient Mediterranean World" - rather than "Ancient World", if the article is to cover the same ground as the French one. I'm not sure how it sounds in French, but I would expect "...in the Ancient World" to include Rome, Greece etc, and no doubt others would want China etc covered. We have articles on Rome & Greece already. I hope I've put this in the right place! Johnbod 01:16, 15 March 2007 (UTC) A bit I'm stuck on but have had a go at:[reply]

  • écharpe enroulée autour des reins et retenue à la taille par une ceinture  ⇔  scarf round the waist similar to a belt

I think that would be the loincloth?

  • Les hommes portent un pagne, le shenti, écharpe enroulée autour des reins et retenue à la taille par une ceinture  ⇔  Men wore a loincloth (called a shenti)

I've changed this in the article. With respect to the suggested name change, the Ancient Mediterranean World would certainly be expected to cover Rome and Greece! 60.242.240.24 12:13, 22 October 2007 (UTC)Jac[reply]
