I'd suggest using something like "Clothing/Fashion (whatever) in the Ancient Mediterranean World" - rather than "Ancient World", if the article is to cover the same ground as the French one. I'm not sure how it sounds in French, but I would expect "...in the Ancient World" to include Rome, Greece etc, and no doubt others would want China etc covered.
