This symbolises a Wikipedia 0.5 nomination

This page is designed to facilitate the nomination and review process of core topics for Wikipedia:Version 0.5 (V0.5), the test CD release designed to pave the way for Wikipedia:Version 1.0.

This page allows core topics to bypass the general V0.5 nomination page going straight from this page to the main Version 0.5 page once approved.

Criteria[edit]

The criteria for importance and quality apply. But as currently designated core topics, they should all pass on importance.

Review process[edit]

  • Reviews should only be done by members of the review team (if you want to help sign up here).
  • The reviewer should not have been a significant contributor to the article under review.
  • After an article has been reviewed, the following process is carried out.

Pass[edit]

  1. Next to the article name on this page, add a 0.5 in the "Version" column.
  2. Place the {{V0.5|class=XX|category=YY}} template on its talk page. See {{V0.5}} for details of classes and categories (which may not be the same as the categories on this page).
  3. List the article on Wikipedia:Version 0.5 under the appropriate section.

Fail on quality[edit]

If the article fails to meet the criteria because of quality problems:

  1. Consider requesting a cleanup of the article using cleanup tags or requests on the talk page.
  2. Consider nominating the article for Wikipedia:Version 1.0 Editorial Team/Core topics/Core topics COTF|Core topics COTF]], WP:FARC or WP:AID.
  3. Consider indicating a clear reason on the article's talk page.
  4. Put a comment in the "comments" column, next to the article name in the list below, indicating briefly why the article failed, and any action taken.

Article list for marking off[edit]

Articles with a "0.5" tag have already been passed. As you add an article to V0.5, place a 0.5 in the Version column. If you reject an article, put a comment to that effect in the comments column.
