This is a list of athletes without an article who featured within the top-10 rankings of a World Championship athletics event in 2012.
The act of featuring the top 10 does not in itself make an athlete automatically notable, but it often indicates that the athlete performs at a notable level of the sport – many will have competed internationally. Significant exceptions include US college athletes, one-off performances, and athletes from nations which have significant strength in depth in certain events.
- Note: Athletes in bold featured in the top five of their discipline
- At creation in March 2013 there were 28 missing top-10 men and 19 missing top-10 women (including 13 top-5 men and 5 top-5 women)
