Cottingley Fairies[edit]

This article has so much already (nice photos!) and is rated as a B class by another project and Start-class by ours. I feel with a little effort, some good sourcing and referencing, we stand a chance of getting this golden oldie of the Paranormal into fine shape. For many people of a certain age such as myself (child of the 70s) this was a case that was still every bit as talked about as Nessie. I still recall seeing the photos in a neighbor's copy of FATE magazine and so wishing it were true. The section on the Cottingly fairies in the media and popular culture can be expanded. In addition, some of the heavy paranomal hitters of the day took sides on this case, most notably, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. I believe we could smarten it up, clean it up and add some depth to it. It's a classic case. Lisapollison 17:29, 11 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  1. A positively fascinating story. --InShaneee 17:43, 11 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  2. Seconded. There is a lot of information about this and relatively little antagonism. It should be able to be brought up to GA standards if people pull together. perfectblue 10:37, 14 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  3. Support. Since it's a known hoax, it should be a lot easier to spruce up than some of the other articles around here. Zagalejo 18:02, 14 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  4. Support. For all the reasons above. --Careax 21:40, 31 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
