Location and general description of property.—The railroad of the Alabama, Florida & Gulf Railroad Company, hereinafter called the carrier, is a single-track standard-gauge steam railroad located in Alabama and Florida. Its main line extends from Cowarts, Ala., southeasterly to Greenwood, Fla., a distance of 28.811 miles.

CORPORATE HISTORY

The carrier was incorporated October 11, 1917, under the general laws of the State of Alabama. The date of its organization was November 1, 1917.

DEVELOPMENT OF FIXED PHYSICAL PROPERTY

The property owned by the company on date of valuation was all acquired by purchase, November 1, 1917, from W. S. Wilson who controls the company. The years when the various portions of the line were constructed and the manner in which Wilson acquired the property are indicated in the following table.
