The railroad of The Bloomsburg and Sullivan Railroad Company, hereinafter called the carrier, is a single-track standard-gauge steam railroad, located in eastern Pennsylvania. The main line extends from Bloomsburg northerly to Jamison City, a distance of 28.879 miles. The company also owns 4.460 miles of yard tracks and sidings. Its road thus embraces 33.329 miles of all tracks owned and used.


CORPORATE HISTORY

The carrier was incorporated December 27, 1883, under the general laws of the State of Pennsylvania.

DEVELOPMENT OF FIXED PHYSICAL PROPERTY

The road owned by the carrier, amounting to 28.88 miles, was acquired by construction under contract during the period from an undetermined date in 1886, to November 26, 1888. It was not determined from the records reviewed whether or not the contractor was affiliated with the company.
