Location and General Description of Property[edit]

The railroad of Louisville & Wadley Railroad Company, hereinafter called the carrier, is a single-track standard-gauge steam railroad extending from Louisville, Ga., to Wadley, Ga., a distance of about 10 miles. All of the property is in the State of Georgia. The carrier owns and operates the following mileage:

Corporate History[edit]

The carrier is a Georgia corporation whose principal office is at Savannah, Ga. The road was originally incorporated August 24, 1872, by special act of the Georgia Legislature as the Louisville Branch Railroad Company. The charter was amended and the name changed to the Louisville & Wadley Railroad Company August 14, 1879.
