The railroad owned by the Mississippi Central Railroad Company, herein called the carrier, amounts to 162.692 miles and consists of a single-track, standard-gauge, steam railroad, located in the State of Mississippi, extending from Natchez to Pines, Miss. It owns jointly with the Yazoo and Mississippi Valley Railroad Company 0.135 undivided mile of sidetrack at Roxie, Miss. In addition, the carrier, on December 31, 1917, used jointly under trackage rights 0.41 mile of the Gulf & Ship Island Railroad at Hattiesburg, Miss., and 0.83 mile of the Illinois Central Railroad at Brookhaven, Miss. It also owns 25.101 miles of yard tracks and sidings, making a total of 187.793 miles of all tracks wholly owned and used. The carrier is apparently an industrial railroad.
