Nevada Northern Railway[edit]

Location and General Description of Property[edit]

The railroad of Nevada Northern Railway Company, hereinafter called the carrier, is a single-track, standard-gauge, steam railroad located in eastern Nevada, extending from Cobre to Veteran, 150.169 miles, with branch lines extending from:

Thus the first main tracks owned and used aggregate 165.995 miles. In addition the carrier owns and uses yard and side tracks aggregating 27.340 miles, making a total of all tracks owned and used of 193.335 miles.

Corporate History[edit]

The carrier was incorporated under the general laws of Maine on June 1, 1905. Its principal office is located at Portland, Me.

Development of Fixed Physical Property[edit]

The carrier constructed its road between September, 1905, and May, 1908. Certain portions were opened for operations as early as June 2, 1906.

Leased Railway Property[edit]

The accounting records of the carrier indicated that it used on date of valuation facilities owned by other companies, and other companies used facilities owned by the carrier to the extent indicated in the statement following. The amount stated as rentals receivable are those applicable to the year ended on date of valuation:
