The railroad of The Philadelphia, Newtown and New York Railroad Company, herein called the Philadelphia, Newtown and New York, is a standard-gage, partly double track, steam railroad located in the southeastern part of Pennsylvania. The road consists of a main line extending in a northeasterly direction from Newtown Junction near Logan to Newtown, with a branch line from Olney to Erie Avenue, Philadelphia, a total distance of 22.239 miles. The Philadelphia, Newtown and New York also owns and uses 5.601 miles of second main track and 5.152 miles of yard tracks and sidings. Its road thus embraces 32.992 miles of all tracks owned.
