Location and general description of properties[edit]

The railroad of The Richmond, Fredericksburg and Potomac Railroad Company, herein called the carrier, is situated entirely within the State of Virginia. The main line, which is double-track, extends from Richmond to a connection with the Potomac Railroad, lessor of the Washington Southern, at a point near Quantico, a distance of 78.822 miles. This line, in conjunction with that of the Washington Southern, with which it is closely allied, forms a direct route between Richmond, Va., and Washington, D. C. [...].
