Corporate history.—The Stephenville North and South Texas was incorporated, in the interests of the carrier, under the general laws of Texas, February 4, 1907, to construct and operate a standard-gauge railroad from Stephenville to Hamilton, Tex. An amendment to the charter of April 18, 1910, permitted the construction of extensions from Hamilton to Gatesville, Tex., Stephenville to Thurber, Tex., and Hamilton to Comanche, Tex. The principal office of the carrier[sic] is at Tyler, Tex. The control of the Stephenville North and South Texas is vested in the carrier through ownership of the entire capital stock. All of the property of the Stephenville North and South Texas is leased to the Southwestern of Texas for exclusive operation. The detailed facts as to the development of the fixed physical property are given in Appendix 2.
