The common-carrier property of the Tampa Terminal Company, hereinafter called the Tampa Terminal, consists of land on Seddon Island, Tampa, Fla. The Seaboard owns the terminal tracks and other extensive facilities located on these lands.


The Tampa Terminal was incorporated April 14, 1906, under the general laws of the State of Florida, statutes of 1906, for the purpose of constructing and operating a terminal railroad in the city of Tampa, Fla. The date of organization of the Tampa Terminal was May 2, 1906.

The Tampa Terminal owned on the date of valuation property consisting of land, known as Seddon Island, Tampa, Fla., on which the Seaboard and the Seaboard Air Line Railway had constructed about 4 miles of terminal tracks and extensive terminal structures. Construction work was commenced by the Seaboard Air Line Railway on September 15, 1908, and completed July 9, 1909.
