The railroad of the Trona Railway Company, hereinafter called the carrier, is a single-track, standard-gage, steam railroad, located in the south central part of California. The main line extends in a northeasterly direction from Searles to Trona, a distance of 30.364 miles. The carrier also owns 2.796 miles of yard tracks and sidings. Its road thus embraces 33.160 miles of all tracks owned and used.

The carrier has joint use of 0.387 mile of track and station facilities at Searles, Calif., owned by the Central Pacific Railway Company (Southern Pacific Company, lessee).
