The railroad of the Warren, Johnsville & Saline River Railroad Company, hereinafter called the carrier, is a single-track standard-gauge steam railroad, located in southern Arkansas. The main line extends from Warren to a point about 1 mile north of Hermitage, with a branch line extending from Fullerton to a point south of Goepel, a total distance of 19.298 miles. The carrier also wholly owns 1.559 miles of yard tracks and sidings. Its road thus embraces 20.857 miles of all tracks wholly owned and used. The carrier also jointly owns and uses with the Missouri Pacific Railroad Company 0.718 undivided mile of main track and 0.340 undivided mile of yard tracks and sidings, aggregating 1.058 undivided miles of all tracks, located at Warren, Ark. The carrier is an industrial railroad. Practically all of its traffic represents forest products, the greater part of which is received from the Bradley Lumber Company, which is controlled by the same interests that control the railroad.


CORPORATE HISTORY

The carrier was incorporated August 7, 1905, under the general laws of the State of Arkansas for the purpose of constructing and operating a railroad, and telephone and telegraph lines in connection therewith, in Bradley County, Ark., extending from Warren, Ark., to a point about 25 miles north thereof.

The wholly owned mileage of the carrier amounting to 19.298 miles, was all acquired by construction, as follows:
