Campus Ambassadors featured on WMF blog[edit]

Montana State University Campus Ambassadors Bonnie McCallum and Mike Cline were the focus of a blog post on the Wikimedia Foundation's blog last week. Since becoming Campus Ambassadors in January, Bonnie and Mike have been hard at work, helping students in Professor Kristin Ruppel's class, starting a Wikipedia student club, and presenting their experiences at a conference. Public Policy Initiative on Washington Post front page[edit]

Washington Post reporter Jenna Johnson spoke with D.C.-area professors who are part of the Public Policy Initiative in the spring term about their experiences using Wikipedia in the classroom. She also interviewed several students. Her article appeared on the front page of Monday's Washington Post. Read the article.

Wikipedia front and center at APS convention[edit]

Online Facilitator Sage Ross and Online Ambassador User:Piotrus joined Wikipedia researchers Bob Kraut and Rosta Farzan at the Association for Psychological Science convention. APS is making an organization-wide effort to encourage members to contribute content to the psychology articles on Wikipedia, and editing was a key feature of the convention. Sage and Piotrus talked to people at the Wikipedia booth, including 42 new professors who are interested in using Wikipedia in their classrooms. Update newsletter becomes monthly for summer[edit]

Since classes using Wikipedia are no longer in session, this newsletter will switch from a weekly format to a monthly format throughout the summer. As we make the transition from the Public Policy Initiative to the Wikipedia Global University Program, the coverage in the newsletter will include more information on global efforts to replicate the successes of the Public Policy Initiative.
