Castlevania: Symphony of the Night[edit]

This is a somewhat-high-profile game and a critical success, yet its article is in a very sorry state. It's almost entirely POV and brimming with weasel words that have congealed into weasel paragraphs and weasel sections. There's an overall lack of factual information that also needs to be fixed. The page could do with a total redesigning in my opinion, so maybe this request belongs in the GCotW? For a more thorough complaint, please check the game's talk page or User:Kilgamesh/SotN. • I've done some stabbing to the face of this article (in particular, nuking the characters and areas sections, the former as redundant and the latter as unsalvagable speculation). But honestly, your best bet might be to get rid of almost everything and start over; parts of the lead, plot, and gameplay are salvagable, but the rest, not so much so. After that, do some honest-to-goddess research on the game, and let that dictate the content of the article. Nifboy 02:45, 1 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Right. I noticed you suggested orbital bombardment and a complete rewrite of this page on the CVG assessments as well. I actually started on that a while ago, but sort of ran out of steam (User:Kilgamesh/testing). I was planning on adding an Impact section just after the graphics section, as well as cleaning up some bits I have floating around and massively trimming the trivia section. Does anyone have any comments or suggestions? Kil (talk) 09:20, 13 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I just got around to finishing my rewrite of this, and replaced the old page with it. It's definitely not a D- article anymore, although it could still use more work. I'm really burnt out on this game now, so hopefully other people will take an interest in it. Kil (talk) 18:27, 14 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
