Project Sylpheed[edit]

User:Jappalang did a precious work with this article back in October 2007 and turned it into a GA. The article looks comprehensive and we'd like to know what remains to be done before it can be nominated for FA status. Thanks. Kariteh (talk) 19:56, 25 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The article reads quite nicely, overall, but there are some points which could use a bit of improvement:
  • "These number of moves might be initially hard to master with the controls.[8][9] The player is also allowed to customize them.[10]" - what does this mean?
  • The article seems to shift between present and past tense rather unpredictably. I would think that past tense would be most appropriate for anything dealing with past events (e.g. "Reviewers are were split on Project Sylpheed's graphics"), but perhaps I'm missing something.
  • Any chance of getting character names in the caption for Image:Project Sylpheed Crew.jpg?
  • The dialogue quotes in the footnotes should really be more explicitly set apart from the associated citations, either by putting the dialogue in quotes, or by moving the entire citation into brackets. As it is, one can only guess that "SETA Corporation" isn't a part of the quoted passages.
  • I'd suggest moving Image:Project Sylpheed Katana Faraway.jpg up to the section that discusses his character design.
Keep up the good work! Kirill (prof) 11:47, 27 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the comments; I've fixed these issues. I've removed the two sentences as the first one was simply a reference to the Reception section further down the article (the gameplay is complex, difficult to master and can "turn away some players"), while the second one was confusing (the player can customize the ship with weapons, not customize "them"). The names of the characters are given on the image page, but I don't think they're useful in the article since they are not discussed individually (fair-use policy). The image of these 3 characters is mainly used to illustrate the "anime" feel reported by critics. I've moved that image to the Reception section for this reason.
