Structural geology covers the deformation of the crust and upper mantle. This course focuses both on the mechanics behind the deformation - how rocks fracture or experience plastic deformation in different conditions - as well as the structures that form as a result. For the Wikipedia based assignment, students will select geologic structures to research and either approve upon or add articles about them.
