WikiProject Dogs To-do:

Here are some tasks you can do to help with WikiProject Dogs:

African Village Dog[edit]

It's high time, given the amount of scientific interest in this referent, that the common African village dog get it's own article. I would like to help, but am not qualified to write such an article. I will try to recruit some experts from outside Wikipedia and experts in how to create Wikipedia articles to help the outside experts. This subject is very interesting. I will collect some references for you all to look at.

Scope[edit]

To quote the article page: Any user may nominate an article to be collaborated upon. Nominees should: Be about any dog/fox/wolf or directly canine-related topic.

Given the number and the breadth of articles on Wikipedia that are dog-related, perhaps those who have an interest in dogs should write articles on dogs, and allow those who have an interest in wolves and foxes to write about those elsewhere. The focus of WikiProject Dogs should be on dogs, nothing else - it is not WikiProjects Canidae. Basically, I find many half-baked, lacking-in-citation dog-related pages that I had assumed WikiProject Dogs had under some form of management. They are not. Regard this post as a call to arms!
