Definitely would like some feedback and advice on this one. It's a massive list, and a lot of the copy issues stem from the original source, which is in all caps, uses a multitude of unexplained abbreviations, and is internally inconsistent in spelling and abbreviation. I'm not even sure the list of polling places is notable or relevant enough to be on Wikipedia.

Second, I think the village lists would be more readable if they are formatted as lists within the table.

Lastly, this is but one in a series of lists of villages in Nigerian states. The other pages may need similar treatment, but I haven't checked yet.

Thanks for your help in advance! Exobiotic 💬 ✒️ 15:38, 12 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your help. If I were faced with this page, I would tag it with {{Notability}} (specifying the notability guideline for places) and tag the talk page with {{GOCEreviewed}}; the "issues" parameter would be the notability concern. IMO, it violates WP:NOTEVERYTHING and WP:NOTDIRECTORY. All the best, Miniapolis 13:30, 13 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I removed the list of electoral wards, which was excessive. Now that the page is just a list of villages, it seems reasonable to me. Wikipedia is full of lists like this. At least this one is sourced. – Jonesey95 (talk) 19:57, 13 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Completely confused...[edit]

Article: Ministry of Gender Equality and Family

I have recently copyedited this article. However, much of the article is made up of filler material without citing any sources. I believe the rules state that uncopyedited sections should not count towards the article's word count. In that case, how do I know how many words I have just removed?

Thanks, TarantulaTM (speak with me) (my legacy) 05:17, 13 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Determining the word count is straightforward, unless only a section of an article is tagged for copyediting. "Unsourced filler material" can be tagged with {{cn}}, but the page is tagged for expansion. The word count before the copyedit (which you can get from the page history) is the one that counts.
