Category:Hard science fiction

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hard science fiction is a sub-genre of science fiction with an emphasis on the scientific accuracy of the "hard" sciences (for example, physics, astronomy, chemistry). In contrast soft science fiction explores the "soft" sciences (for example, anthropology, sociology, psychology). Critic Gary Westfahl argues that neither term is part of a rigorous taxonomy; instead they are more-or-less useful approximate ways to characterize stories[1]
