Inclusion of certain series[edit]

I have noted at a couple of articles talk pages (specifically Talk:The Catherine Tate Show and Talk:Outnumbered (British TV series) ) that I find the inclusion of the series covered in these articles debatable and I think thus probably is a wider issue looking at some of the other series with articles in the category. I therefore wonder if clear criteria for inclusion in the category could be given on the page. I think it really should only include series that were cancelled by the studio or broadcaster behind them and then revived at a later date under the same name (eg like Doctor Who and Crossroads (British TV series) for instance). I don't think it should include things were the writers, producers or cast decided to end a series only to make a special/specials or a new series some years later or where a spin-off was commissioned some years later. Nor should it include series with long gaps between series/specials like The Vicar of Dibley. However I would be interested as to what other editors think.
