Island of Ireland = Northern Ireland + Republic of Ireland?[edit]

What reasons are there for using the categories "of Ireland" at all? Especially when most are completely split into "of Northern Island" and "of the Republic of Ireland". It seems like an useless specification in most cases. Brad7777 (talk) 17:59, 26 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
