This was labeled "Politics". The problem in the US, is that everything is categorized that way and bleeds over into articles. Elections should be part of government perhaps. But in the US, it is simply one more nail in the coffin of WP:TOPIC when people chatter on about campaigns, imagining them to be "politics."
