Case insensitive?[edit]

This category needs some refining to be useful. It seems to classify twitter names which are identical apart from case as different names. To take an example, it currently identifies Matthew Abood, but the link from the External links section takes you to https://twitter.com/mattabood while the link from Matthew Abood (Q629963) takes you to https://twitter.com/MattAbood which turns out to be the same page. --RexxS (talk) 19:16, 31 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

True. Lisa Wilkinson's article has "lisa_wilkinson", her Wikidata entry "Lisa_Wilkinson". This should be trivial to fix at Template:Twitter; I mentioned it there. -- Michael Bednarek (talk) 09:55, 9 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I updated Template:Twitter so testing for Category:Twitter username different from Wikidata now ignores upper/lower case differences between the username in the template and in Wikidata. That removed 970 Wikipedia articles from this category. -- Zyxw (talk) 07:29, 28 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
