Asher's Chocolate Co. is an American confectionery company based in Pennsylvania, founded in 1892 by Chester Asher.[1] The company operates factories in Souderton and Lewiston.[2] The company remains family-owned and operated for five generations,[3] and is currently run by President & CEO Jeff Asher, who constitutes the fourth generation to lead the business.[4]

Chester Asher opened his first store near Independence Hall in 1892. In 1899, he moved to a larger shop in Germantown, Pennsylvania. [5]

In 1991, Asher's Chocolate Co. purchased Goss Candies in Lewiston, PA.[6]

In 1998, after 99 years in Germantown, Asher's relocated to an 125,000 sq. foot facility in Souderton, Pennsylvania.[7]
