Godfrey Estcourt Matthews
Brigadier-General Godfrey Estcourt Matthews, CB, CMG (June 1866 – 13 April 1917) was a British Royal Marines officer, born in Bath, Somerset,[1] who died of wounds during the First World War while in command of the 198th (East Lancashire) Brigade in France.
