Ikhlasgarh or Ikhlas Garh (Urdu: اخلاص گڑھ) is a village located in district of Gujrat, Pakistan. Majority of people living in Ikhlas garh belongs to Bhatti(Jatt)Cast while other sub groups include Cheema, Warriach and others. Most people are self employed by cultivating agriculture crops and cattle raising domestically. There are number of prominent people who migrated to other cities within Pakistan and internationally and working as entrepreneurs, Doctors, Lawyers, Journalist and other important occupations. [1] It is situated about 12 kilometres (7.5 mi) north east of Gujrat. Nearest town is JalalPur Jattan which is located at 5km distance.
Distance between Ikhlas Garh and Sialkot International Airport is 32 km, Shahbazpur bridge located at river Chenab provide easy access to reach Sialkot International Airport. Travelling to Lahore is very convenient after inauguration of Sialkot-Lahore motorway. Too reach starting point of this motorway it takes one hour from Ikhlas Garh.
District Gujrat provides access to many basic amenities such as Government Hospitals, offices, courts and respective departments. Gujrat provides access to other cities via Railway station and G.T Road.
University of Gujrat is located at the border of Ikhslas Garh graveyard and agriculture land. Sources told Dawn on Monday that Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has directed the district administration not to proceed with the acquisition of agricultural lands in Kot Ameer Hussain, Ghuman, Hardaspur and Ikhlasgarh villages near Jallapur Jattan Road after the PML-N's local leadership persuaded the provincial chief executive into abandoning the proposed purchase.
