It's Okay to Not Be Okay is an upcoming Philippine romantic comedy television film adaptation series loosely based on the 2020 South Korean drama series of the same title. Directed by Mae-Cruz Alviar, it stars Joshua Garcia, Anne Curtis, and Carlo Aquino. It is set to premiere in 2024 on Netflix.[1]

On December 13, 2023, the series was announced as one of the titles for ABS-CBN's programming line-up for 2024, with Anne Curtis, Joshua Garcia and Carlo Aquino being cast in the lead roles.[4][5][6]

A media conference to officially announce the project and introduce the main cast of the show was held on May 17, 2024 at the Dolphy Theatre. It was graced by the three lead actors, Anne, Joshua and Carlo, as well as creative producer Henry King Quitain and the director, which was revealed to be the box office director, Mae Cruz-Alviar.[2] According to Mr. Quitain, the series will be shown in Netflix, and they are considering Negros area as a possible shooting location.[7]

Casting[edit]

Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil were initially reported to cast in the lead roles, but both declined the offer.[8][9][10]
