Jyoti... Umeedon Se Sajee[1] (transl. Jyoti... Adorned With Hopes) is a Hindi-language Drama Romantic television series which aired on Dangal from 22 May 2023. It stars Akshita Vatsayan, Sahil Uppal in their lead roles. It was produced by Sumeet and Shashi Mittal under the banner of Shashi Sumeet Productions. It ends on 22 July 2023[2] and it was replaced by television series Mann Atisundar.

Plot[edit]

The hardworking and a beautiful woman named Jyoti, an aspiring fashion designer, lives with her family at Varanasi who owns a textile shop for living as she is oppressed by her stepmother, Padma who thinks her daughter, Kiran, is not prettier than Jyoti. Jyoti is being stalked by a man and a goon named Hari. Jyoti meets Vedant Sinha, a businessman who owns a fashion company, who hates his mother, Supriya, due to a misunderstanding and is being engaged to Mallika. Vedant saves Jyoti from obstacles but her sister, Kiran, is being abused by Puru, who is revealed to be Vedant's cousin brother. Jyoti discovers this and sends him to jail but Vedant bails him, leading to a fight in between them as Puru decided and vows to take revenge on Kiran. Hari and his cronies burnt Jyoti's shop in order to marry Jyoti, which shocks her as her family fixes Jyoti and Hari's marriage.

Vedant decided to stop Jyoti from marrying Hari as his younger brother, Rajan, reveals Hari's true colours to Jyoti while Puru arrives at the marriage function in disguise, bringing acid to attack Kiran as he tries to attack her but she is saved by Jyoti as Puru accidentally throws acid on Jyoti which shocks the entire family except Vedant. Due to the attack, Jyoti's body is burned by the reaction of acid. Puru tries to kill Jyoti by disguising himself again as a nurse but he is caught by Vedant and he learns that Puru is behind on the attack as Jyoti's marriage function resumes but Vedant stops it by taking Jyoti away from this marriage with the blessings from her family and he defeats Hari and his goons and brings her to his house but his grandmother, Kaveri, and Supriya's younger sister and Vedant's nephew, Ila, don't accept this, but his mother, Supriya, accepts them.

Hema, Puru's mother, taunts Jyoti as she finds out his son is behind her acid attack and decided to help him to avoid Jyoti to expose as Puru repeatedly tries to kill Jyoti, but always fails, while Jyoti decided to find her attacker as she gathers evidence and realises Puru is behind her attack and she also learns Vedant had already learnt about this truth too and they decided to expose Puru. Puru tries to kill Jyoti again by knocking the entire family unconscious but Vedant who pretends himself catches Puru red-handed as the entire family regains consciousness and both Jyoti and Vedant expose Puru as the entire family disowns him and he is arrested by police, making Hema seek vengeance on Jyoti.

Mallika returns after learning about Jyoti and Vedant's relationship and comes to separate both Jyoti and Vedant as Hema also cooperate with Mallika. Mallika creates problems by using black magic and tries to separate them but always fails. Jyoti discovers why Vedant hates her by bringing Supriya to Vedant and she reveals how his father had made her to stay away from her after learning this, Vedant is reunited with her mother. Hari arrives and creates a drama in front of the family as he is still obsessed with her but Vedant beats him and throws him out of the house. After learning about Hari's obsessiveness towards on Jyoti, Hema decided to help Hari make him marry Jyoti as both Jyoti and Vedant confess their mutual love and they decide to marry.

On the engagement day, Mallika with the help of Hema and their family maid, Chamcham, hypnotises Vedant by using her powers by bringing Vedant and sleeps with her but Vedant regains consciousness and the entire family excepts Jyoti misunderstands this, but her father, Vasu, realises this, but Mallika hypnotises Vedant again and beats him but Vedant regains conscious after he has forgotten what happened as Jyoti realises someone in this family is behind this as Jyoti finally learns about Mallika's truth after she watched the video on Chamcham's phone. Jyoti exposes Mallika to the family but Mallika traps the family by using her evil powers and flees but Jyoti saves them.

Mallika seeks to prevent their marriage. Hema tells Hari to kidnap Jyoti and on the wedding day, Hema brings Hari and his cronies and they kidnap her while Mallika, in disguise, enters the pavilion. Jyoti realises that Hari is kidnapping her and learns that Mallika is going to marry Vedant as Hari tries to marry her forcefully but Jyoti escapes by throwing the acid on his face just as Puru did to her and stops Vedant from marrying Mallika by explaining that Mallika took her place when Hari kidnapped her. Jyoti tries to expel her but Mallika uses her evil powers and traps the family and tries to marry Vedant but Jyoti takes a trident and defeats Mallika by destroying her evil powers and she saves the family. Vedant effects Mallika and Hema's imprisonment. Then Jyoti and Vedant marry and live happily with their family.
