Chippie Evans doesn't propose any scheme to Granger, he simply convinces Granger to meet with Wallace. The pass-post swindle is Granger's idea, and it doesn't come into play until the end of the movie (as correctly described later on in the plot summary).Pete Best Beatles (talk) 06:12, 15 December 2021 (UTC)
