This is a very minimal stub. Several major unanswered questions, including place of AFRICAP in US military involvement in Africa in relation to ACOTA (which is also administered through Dept. of State) and USAFRICOM (the military command).--A12n (talk) 19:51, 17 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Further to the above, AFRICAP and ACOTA were each discussed briefly in a hearing on 23 July 2008 before the Subcommittee on National Security and Foreign Affairs of the United States House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform: "AFRICOM: Rationales, Roles and Progress on the Eve of Operations--Part 2." They are also each mentioned in a 2013 monograph by Major Jared Rudacille at the School of Advanced Military Studies: "Security Sector Reform's Utility in Conflict Prevention." Both documents offer only limited insights on the questions indicated above.--A12n (talk) 13:40, 18 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
