Altavista was never really pushed by DEC as they saw it as a program to demonstrate the power of their new alphaservers for sale to 'big companies' without realising the potential size of the search engine market — Preceding unsigned comment added by 31.50.219.47 (talk) 20:11, 30 December 2020 (UTC)
