Perhaps this page should be renamed "Arthur Hill High School Sports" as that seems to be all it's about. Seriosly though, this article should be revised to include more information about the school itself and a LOT less about sports. I don't think all the statistics are nessesary either.Cbale2000 20:16, 1 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know about that. Arthur Hill is all about sports. Their academics are obviously lackluster, and always have been.

Perhaps include school violence and crime issues, that's a big part of Saginaw schools and Arthur Hill too, no?

AHHS all about sports? Obviously those making such comments are very prejudiced! For years previously AHHS has had very highly respected academics. As a student there in the mid/early 70's the college prep programs were top shelf. Saginaw has great difficulties now because of so many, many issues. For people to make drastic accusations about Saginaw and it past demonstrates very little ability to reason. This is not diminishing the current state of Saginaw and her issues. Those issues have contributed to her demise as have the state of Michigan archaic codes which tie the hands of the cities and not allowing them to make the changes necessary. In the 50's/40's if Saginaw had expanded her limits to 100 plus sq miles, she would still have issues, yes, but the demographics would have been different. The other contributing factor of Saginaw's demise was it's wagan being hitched to the auto industry. Saginaw also made major decisions which also contributed to her demise by ignoring the needs of the 10 plus fortune 500 companies who had their roots in Saginaw moving. Greg Branch the current mayor of Saginaw is performing a suburb job in facing the issues and causes of failure within the city government. Last but not least is the issue of racial hatred in Saginaw. There is a divide which has caused a chasm larger than the grand canyon. But based upon the circumstances it is deservedly so. No excuses, there are so many decisive issues and circumstances which may seem to be insurmountable, but the way in which Greg Branch, Saginaw Mayor is attacking the issues Saginaw is facing, his leadership is a breath of fresh air in a community people would rather hate than look at discovering the gem Saginaw has within. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.57.54.9 (talk) 13:14, 31 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

AHHS[edit]

Hey, Hey, Hey, AHHS was not just about sports, bad academics, and violence.......we had drugs and alcohol, too! 139.139.35.70 08:09, 8 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunatly there isn't much else to talk about when it comes to Arthur Hill. I would have liked the option for an education while I attended but its not part of their curriculim. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.188.189.29 (talk) 15:52, 8 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I am a 1995 graduate of AHHS. My first year there was great but it went downhill fast by my senior year. AHHS is not so much a school as it is a large day care. I didn't realize how atrocious the education was until I went to college. I am not sure how it is now (I no longer live in Saginaw) but the school didn't even come close to preparing me for college. It was a major shock to me to suddenly be held accountable for educational content. Arthur Hill may be just be collateral damage of a bigger social issue happening in Saginaw. It is sad to see the town I once loved become such a desolate place. I hope that at some point in the future things turn around but candidly the outlook seems grim. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.171.195.240 (talk) 01:38, 13 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
