Etymology[edit]

"Aydın" is a Turkish name originating from the word "ay" which means "moon" in Turkish. The meaning of "Aydın" is "luminary, bright, enlightened, clear, educated, intellectual", which are all related with the word "ay". The note bout its Persian origin is wrong. I could not find a way to edit the introductory part.

"Aydin" is a Turkish name, and it is a variant of the Aidan (Welsh/Scottish) name, however, another variant of Aidan is Hebrew Adin and Persian Aidin, Aidin and Adin are not variants of Aydin, and they have a different spell. so do not link those given names under Aydin's given name. Aidin (name) and Adin (name) are already sourced so Please Avoid insisting on misinformation.
