Contested deletion[edit]

The creation of the page is in progress, so more material may be on the way.

I don't think it should be deleted because the significance of the band Beat Funktion is supported by the following:

1) The band has documented radio airplay in the US dating back to 2013. The links in the text point to preserved radio list placements, all of which indicate that the band has been played on American Jazz Radio for an extended period of time. All four albums have enjoyed 16 weeks of airplay each, which accumulated means around 60 weeks of radio airplay. Furthermore, the charts indicate that the placements have been extremely high, #1 and #2 placements, indicating intensive airplay in competition with many other US artists. Historically, I cannot think of any other Swedish band that has hit #1 on those charts for three consecutive weeks. Please prove me wrong.

2) The band has been extensively reviewed for years in international publications, which will shortly be added to this Wikipedia page. Examples are established prominent American jazz publications such as JazzTimes and All About Jazz. Until those reviews are added to the page, the band's website offer quotes from these, with links to articles in full. http://www.beatfunktion.se/reviews/

3) The band has been nominated for awards in four categories as the best band 2015, releasing the best album 2015, having the best producer by the Scandinavian Soul organization, which researches and documents soul music in the four Scandinavian countries Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark. The awards are nominated only to bands and artists who have made a significant imprint within soul music in those countries.
